![]() This is going to be really frustrating for a student who has not had any real practice with keystrokes. ![]() There is no explanation or practice on combining keystrokes into words - just "here, type these words". In lesson A, after a pretty useless run through each letter of the alphabet with no real keystroke practice, the student goes on to the activities, which go straight into typing short words, and then shifting to capital letters, and typing complete sentences. ![]() They are supposed to be the "young" lessons, but they really don't make sense. However I would recommend skipping lessons A and B. I don't regret this purchase because it meets our needs. That is the main reason I purchased it - I want our son to practice typing in a program that is fun, and to practice the dictation sentences that come with the spelling program we are using, and being able to make these dictation sentences part of this program is really helpful. My favorite feature of the program is the ability to enter custom content for the student to practice. I like that the student will practice typing real words and not just exercises that make no sense, and I like that the program has them practice complete sentences. Our son enjoys the "secret agent" environment and the activities are entertaining. I gave the program four stars because it is a fun program for keyboarding practice for a student who has already received some beginning keyboarding instruction from another source.
